One of the most important gardens in the history of the world, the Garden of Gethsemane. Two thousand years ago, Jesus went to this grove of olive trees to pray and suffer both physically, mentally, and spiritually for all mankind. It was here that he felt our pains, sorrows, temptations, and ultimately paid for our sins. It is here that he saved us from spiritual death. It was here that he showed his love before suffering on the cross. It was here that he received comfort from on high before dying on the cross. Like I said, one of the most important gardens in the history of the world. Knowing this and reading this story from the New Testament all of my life it became important to me. But, my love for the Savior was strengthened and deepened in one instance as I first entered this place. In Eastern Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives is the traditional place of Gethsemane. There is a garden inside a fence that they commemorate this event. There is also a church, the church of all nations, that sites in the garden that helps us remember what happened here or near by. Here are just some pictures I took on this site.

I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into such a special place! When I looked at this place for the first time and stepped onto it's grounds, the spirit was so strong that my eyes was filled with tears. It was a life changing moment!
