Makhtesh Ramon is Israel's largest erosion cirque. This is a unique geological formation in the Negev Desert resembling a crater but was formed by erosion. What an amazing site! I had no idea what we were doing there. We arrived in the bus and all you could see was the museum. As we walked up all of a sudden this massive hole, jagged edged, deep crevice of an expanse came to view. What was even crazier was the wind. It was so windy. I guess it was a normal thing with all the wind. In order to look over the edge they asked us to crawl on our stomach so the wind wouldn't blow us over. It was really wind so I could totally see that. Sad to say that that has happened before. Here are some pictures. It really doesn't do this site justice. I guess you just have to go and be there!!

So I have to tell this story. This picture reminds me of how thoughtful people can be. When I went on this class tour through Jerusalem University College I braved it and went alone. I ended up in a class about 35 people. They were from all walks of life and I loved it! I got to know all of them and it was a privilege to be with them. On this day we went to this site I just kind of walked around, not specifically with anyone. As I was walking back one of the gentlemen in my class ran up and walked back with me and took these photos of me. He was so sweet and kind! I felt like he just wanted me to not be alone. God is good!! This site is worth stopping for!
